INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT & COMPLIANCE POLICY

This International Payment Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing cross-border transactions and international payments made to Shaadi Overseas (Papercut Events Pvt Ltd). This document is intended to ensure transparency, security, and compliance with global payment gateway regulations for our destination wedding planning and international event management services.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

To facilitate seamless international transactions for our clients across the globe, we accept the following payment methods through our secure international payment gateway:

  • Major International Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

  • International Wire Transfers (SWIFT)

  • Select regional digital wallets supported by our payment processing partners

2. Currency and Conversion

While our services are offered globally (including destinations such as Thailand, the UAE, and Sri Lanka), the base currency for all invoices generated on our platform is generally United States Dollars (USD) or Indian Rupees (INR), as specified in your event agreement.

  • Transactions processed in a currency other than the cardholder's local currency may be subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

  • Foreign Transaction Fees (FX markups) levied by the card-issuing bank are the sole responsibility of the client.

3. Payment Terms and Milestones

Due to the comprehensive nature of international destination wedding logistics, our payment structures are milestone-based:

  • An initial non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure dates and commence vendor negotiations.

  • Subsequent milestone payments will be outlined in the formal Service Agreement and Invoices.

  • All invoices must be settled in full prior to the commencement of the scheduled event.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

We adhere to a strict cancellation framework to protect the financial commitments made to international vendors, hotels, and logistical partners on the client's behalf:

  • Initial Retainer: Strictly non-refundable.

  • Vendor Payments: Refunds for specific vendor and hospitality bookings are subject to the individual cancellation policies of the respective international service providers.

  • Processing of Refunds: Approved refunds will be credited back to the original method of payment within 10 to 15 business days. Cross-border refund processing times may vary based on the issuing bank.

5. Security and Compliance (PCI-DSS)

We prioritize the security of your financial data. All international transactions are processed securely through certified third-party payment gateways. Shaadi Overseas / Papercut Events Pvt Ltd does not capture, store, or process full credit card numbers or sensitive authentication data on our own servers. Our website utilizes standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to protect data transmission.

6. Dispute Resolution and Chargebacks

We encourage clients to reach out to our management team directly to resolve any billing discrepancies before initiating a chargeback with their financial institution. Unjustified chargebacks may result in the immediate suspension of contracted services and subsequent legal action to recover lost funds and associated gateway penalties.

7. KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

To comply with international financial regulations, clients may be required to provide basic Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation (such as a valid passport or government-issued ID) for high-value transactions or wire transfers exceeding regulatory thresholds.
